Romangic was founded in 2025 by AI leaders from leading publicly listed technology companies. We build global consumer AI products powered by multimodal foundation models, reaching users across 200+ countries and regions with backing from top global funds, and we aim to build the defining consumer apps of the AI era.

We have raised $20M+ from HongShan (formerly Sequoia China), Lanchi Ventures, Jinqiu, Monolith and LRI, and the business is growing fast. We are a young, highly educated team — and we believe AI is not just a productivity shift, but an opportunity on the scale of the industrial revolution.

A serial entrepreneur who has been building companies since university. In 2025 he co-founded Romangic with Xixian Li and has raised $20M+ for it. Earlier, Richard co-founded two companies as a student — BodyPark and Shenshang Technology — with BodyPark later acquired by FITURE. He then founded the AI emotional-wellness product “Yujian Tata,” which grew into a category-leading app within two years.

As Romangic's technical co-founder, Xixian specializes in multimodal foundation models and full-stack engineering. He and Richard met as classmates at Peking University and have since co-founded BodyPark, Yujian Tata, and Romangic. At Romangic, he leads engineering end to end, building the AI foundation behind the WayShot product line.

Principles of Execution

Customer First
  • A product manager will turn down a feature their boss asked for, because the data says it isn't what users want.
  • Ops teammates live in TikTok comments and creator DMs collecting feedback — basically customer support at this point.
  • No message in the user-feedback group goes read-without-reply — every complaint gets picked up.
Less is More
